N. L. Dalmia Institute of Management Studies and Research organized Mulyankan, their flagship event which included an annual national level finance paper presentation on 1st October 2015 followed by seminars by eminent speakers of the banking industry on 3rd October 2015. The competition topic for 2015 was “Consolidation in Indian Banking Industry - The Merger & Acquisitions way”. 
Day 1: Mulyankan 2015 witnessed participation from various top B-schools across India. Five teams representing TIMSR, SIMSREE, IIM-Indore, NIBM-Pune and NLDIMSR competed to win the esteemed title of Mulyankan 2015. The teams suggested prospective mergers of various Indian banks. Their presentations included Porters five force analysis of the banking industry, criteria for choosing merging banks, financial analysis of the chosen banks, valuation of the target bank and projections of the merged entity. Various qualitative factors such as expansion of branch network, synergies in product offerings, cultural similarities and common technological platform were also discussed.
